Today we're highlighting Lucy in London, who is 16 and  happily virginal. If you want to tell your story, go to our submission form. You can find all our V-Card Diaries here. Tell us about yourself:

I'm a 16-year-old girl from London.

How do you define virginity?

Virginity is the act when you know someone you love will take it and claim it as theirs, and not think of you as another notch on their bedpost. I have felt for a while that sex is too mainstream nowadays, so I'm waiting until I'm in my 20s to lose my virginity. Sex should be about loving someone, so by letting someone take your v-card, you are showing them you love them enough to take your 'flower'. They show their love for you by treating your v-card with respect and not rushing you into sex just for their convenience.

Tell us your story

It just feels right because I'm too immature to know what the hell I'm doing now, and it creeps me out that some guy my age could take it now, and not care how it affects me when it happens.

I love being a virgin! It gives me time to understand how I will plan my life instead of worrying about sex, sex, sex!
