Today we're highlighting Jules in New Jersey who wishes sex was valued as a special bond and is waiting until marriage to experience it. If you want to tell your story, go to our submission form. You can find all our V-Card Diaries here. Tell us about yourself: I am a 17 year old girl. I am currently a senior in High School. I am one of the few girls at my school that is a virgin. [If that makes sense] I live in New Jersey! :} I plan on going to school to study psychology. I am interested in how people think, why they think that way...etc!
How do you define virginity? Someone who has not had sexual intercourse. [Penetration to be exact] I do not consider oral sex to be sex. People think that if a virgin has participated in oral; then, she is no longer a virgin.. I disagree.
Do you consider yourself a virgin? I am a virgin. I have never done anything sexual. I have never given or received oral. I have never fingered myself. Although, I have used a dildo; I have never had a guys penis inside of me. I want to wait until marriage. I want my husband/my first to have all of me. I don't want to be "used" when I give myself away. [No offense] It's hard..being a virgin. I have to deal with the temptations and societal pressures. Not only that, but from guys I like.
Any thoughts on virginity in our society? Virgins are no longer valued. I feel as if virgins are overlooked. Guys no longer want the girls that are saving themselves. They rather have the girls that are willing to give it up. I feel as if..society should promote virginity more and not downplay it.
Anything else? Sex has become so overrated. Sex is supposed to be a special bond. Something two people WHO LOVE one another are supposed to share with one another. Society had tarnished the specialness of it. It's no longer valued or looked at as special because you can get sex anywhere and from anyone now a days. PLEASE VALUE YOURSELVES AND OTHERS. Every person you have sex with leaves with a piece of your mind, body, and soul.
